My first runner up for the most important book is The Bible. I chose this book because it is so powerful. Religion has even been the cause of brutal wars. The Bible has given hope to people for centuries. It is a big thing that has given faith to many people. The other thing about it, is that it has given the people that believe in christianity a kind of moral list of laws (the ten commandments). People all the time worry about punishment relating to the ten commandments. Also, another reason that it is so powerful is that it has caused many fights between countries that have different religious beliefs.
My second runner up is a book on how to play piano. I believe that music is one of the most important parts of any culture. The reason I chose piano rather than any other instrument is because piano is kind of the basic instrument. The piano is where music kind of started out. I think this book should be included because if every musical instrument was destroyed except pianos, I think that musical instruments could kind of evolve again just like they already have. Even if every piece of music was burned, there would be new works of art very quickly. then of course as the years go on there would be the same types of music as we have now, and we all know that comes with censorship stifling musical creativity.
